Radio is a great medium for sharing our security expertise with customers so when Mix 93.8FM radio asked us to join them on their Buildaidradio spot recently, we sent our Trellidor Fourways Franchise Owner Clayton Taylor into the studio for a chat.
Home safety slot
It’s a magazine-style program where lots of different topics are covered. This one included questions about how the listeners could improve on their safety at home.
Professional architect
The interviewer was architectural professional, author and lecturer Graham Alexander. He has been airing the show once a week for five years at 6pm to an estimated listenership of between 180 000 and 200 000 people from Sandton to Krugersdorp, Lenasia to Pretoria, and areas to the west and east of Jo’burg.
“It was great to be able to reach such a big audience,” said Clayton.
Professional safety advice
Clayton liked the format of talking about all types of security and giving people useful advice on how to stay safe at home. He included information on the quality of Trellidor products. He also talked a lot about Clear Guard because much of this audience would be interested in this type of barrier. It is see-through and does not look like security at all.
He also gave useful safety advice to the listeners. He explained the concept of using more than one layer of security; the types of security available (including barriers, of course); how to avoid a high jacking outside your home; and a number of other good ideas.
