The Trellidor Kempton Park franchise team was pleased to be able to come to the assistance of the Maranatha Care Centre in Benoni after a robbery in their storeroom.
“It is unbelievable to think that robbers would steal from the homeless and destitute, but they did. So we provided protection in the form of a Trellidor Retractable Security gate fitted to the storage area entry door,” said franchise manager Carrie van Heerden.
The centre relies on donations to support those in need of food, shelter, clothing and counselling. So losing anything to theft is detrimental to the quality of assistance they provide. After the recent break-in they contacted Trellidor Kempton Park, owned by Jan Blom, for help in preventing further robberies.
“We installed a Trellidor Retractable Security gate at no charge as it is strong and practical. It slides smoothly to the side of the doorway for easy access to the storeroom. It also provides great strength and protection when closed and locked,” said Carrie.
Trellidor sales consultant Mark Erasmus handed over the keys to the new security gate to Maranatha’s Diany van den Bergh after Trellidor installer Nico Kleyn and his team completed it.
“We were happy to be able donate a Trellidor product to Maranatha Care Centre as it was our way of helping out people in our community. Hopefully the intruders won’t try their luck again!” said Carrie.
