Trellidor will officially launch an aluminium sliding security gate at the 2018 edition of the East Coast Radio House & Garden Show in Durban. Although this neat design has been available for some time, its corrosion resistant properties make the coastal show the ideal venue to showcase it. It fits in perfectly with this year’s theme of ‘Home is where the Heart is’, aimed at stylish, distinctive spaces for families.

The new aluminium sliding gate joins the Trellidor Retractable stable and is called Trellidor Retractable Aluminium TA600.
This safety gate has several features that make it a first choice for coastal dwellers. Apart from being corrosion resistant it has no rivets on the outside.
“This gives the gate a smooth, clean look that is perfect for homes where the visual appearance of fittings is important,” said Trellidor Marketing and Sales Director Peter Rawson.
Engineered to be strong
The gate has been engineered for strength. It has a full, four-sided frame for increased resistance when attacked. It has a lip on the lock stile and top track to prevent crow bars or screwdrivers from being wedged in to lever open the gate. And it has a strong, patented Trellidor locking system.
Anti-corrosion finish
Like all Trellidor products, the Trellidor Aluminium TA600 is pre-treated for corrosion and UV resistance before undergoing powder coating. This makes the gate long-lasting.
Made to fit properly
“Our products are also custom-made to fit the opening as securely as possible. This makes it difficult for home invaders to force open our security gates or burglar proofing, keeping you safer inside your home than ill-fitting DIY products do,” said Peter.

Securing coastal homes against home invasions has always been difficult due to the corrosive conditions.
