We have introduced a new roller shutter to the Trellidor Rollerstyle range of aluminium rolling shutters. It is the perfect solution to applications that require a barrier that locks into place so firmly that even a forklift can’t make it budge from the lockdown position.
The new Trellidor Lockdown Shutter is unique and a first for South Africa. It does not rely on a locked motor, shot bolts or locks with keys to keep it in place once shut. Instead, it has a non-mechanical system of custom-designed slats and guide channels that work together to keep it locked down. This system creates a roller shutter that locks so securely in place that the shutter is virtually impossible to lift once rolled down into position.

The Rollerstyle Lockdown Shutter looks like other roller shutters,
but has additional features that set it apart from the rest:

STRENGTH FEATURE:
The Lockdown Shutter does not rely on a locked motor, shoot bolts or locks with keys to keep it in place once shut. Instead, it has a non-mechanical system of custom-designed slats and guide channels that work together to keep it locked down. The shutter locks so firmly into place that even a forklift can’t make it budge from the lockdown position.
SAFETY FEATURE:
The Lockdown Shutter has in-built safety features. The first is an obstacle detector, fitted to the bottom of the shutter. It stops the shutter from closing if an obstacle is detected. The second is an easy-to-use manual override crank handle, for use in case of power outages or any other electrical malfunction.
