Trellidor at Decorex 2019
The Trellidor team is very excited about the theme for this year’s Decorex decor and design exhibitions. ‘Designing for Africa – feels like home’ is exactly what we have always tried to achieve. Customer requirements, tastes and technical developments have evolved over the years since 1976 when our company was established in Durban, but the goal remains the same.
Home-grown in South Africa
Trellidor products have all been designed and manufactured right here in Durban. We make products to suit our local customers. We started with our original steel sliding security gate with its distinctive trellis pattern that was in demand in the early years. And we’ve moved on to our more recent lifestyle products that fit in with modern living preferences.
Our show stand, too, has been rejigged over the decades to cater to current trends. In the 1908’s it was bright, primary colours. Then in the 2000’s we went to bold corporate blue. Today we have the softer, sophisticated palette of the 2019 stand.
The new Trellidor show stand has plenty of space for visitors to walk around and to feel and operate our new security products. It includes Taylor Blinds, which has been part of our group of companies for a few years and has great synergies with the Trellidor product range.

The team is looking forward to showing Decorex visitors the full Trellidor range of home-grown products. This includes:
- Trellidor Clear Guard security screens,
- Trellidor Louvre Shutters aluminium louvres,
- Trellidor Rollerstyle automated rolling shutters
- and the redesigned Trellidor Poly Guard, with its neat frame and increased strength.
The more traditional Trellidor security products will also be on the stand at Decorex. These are:
- Trellidor Retractable security gates for doors and windows,
- Trellidor Fixed burglar proofing and
- Trellidor Cottage Guard burglar bars.
