Cycle ride to support Childhood Cancer Foundation
Trellidor staff members were delighted to be able to support the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation once again by donating a gift voucher to the annual GABRAN (Great Annual Bike Ride Across Natal).
The GABRAN is 23 years old and cyclists ride from Drakensville (near Sterkfontein Dam). It covers 300km in three days, and ends in Hillcrest. Trellidor staff were invited to the event and rode the 300km with about 150 other enthusiasts.
The winners of the Trellidor gift voucher were the Sinclair family from Hillcrest. They chose Trellidor Retractable Security gates, installed by the Trellidor Highway franchise. Pictured here is the family and their newly installed security gate. With them are Ian Prentiss dressed as the CHOC cow mascot and Trellidor’s Chris Wright.
CHOC sent the following thank you to Trellidor:
We would like to thank you, Trellidor, most sincerely for generously donating the main prize in our raffle. It was very well received by the Sinclair family, and Trellidor has definitely come highly commended by them. Every part of the process was a breeze!
Thank you for supporting our drive and cause, helping us raise much needed funds for our little superheroes fighting various forms of Cancer! You give them Hope. You give them a Sense of Purpose. You put a smile on their face! YOU KEEP MORE THAN HOPE ALIVE!
At Trellidor we believe that everyone has the right to be safe. So we assist the most vulnerable whenever we can.
“In 2007 we were able to secure CHOC House at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital in Durban using Trellidor Retractable units. We were happy to get involved in the GABRAN this year,” said Trellidor Marketing and Sales Director Peter Rawson.
