Trellidor Namibia delighted with tourism award
The Namibian Tourism Expo held in Windhoek at the Showgrounds is one of the biggest on the Namibian show calendar and attracts people from all over the country. With over 20 000 visitors this year, it was a busy four days for exhibitors. Trellidor Namibia was delighted to come away with a Bronze Award for their stand.
“The judges liked the overall setup of our stand, which featured our full Trellidor security barrier range. They also liked that fact that one of our security experts was always present to talk to visitors in a helpful and friendly manner, answering questions regarding the various products,” said Trellidor Namibia Technical Manager Conrad Visser.
Visitors numbers up
Show attendance numbers were up on previous years, probably because the show has been revitalised. There were celebrity chefs at the food and wine section, a motor show, a substantial tourism representation and flash mobs organised by various exhibitors to add some fun to the mix.
Trellidor secures hotels and lodges
Trellidor Namibia has secured many hospitality establishments around the country, including lodges, so the Tourism Expo is a good market for us.
“But we also had a lot of interest from individual homeowners. Many were doing their homework before starting their building or renovation projects, but we’ve already had almost R500 000 worth of orders as a direct result of this show, with more to come,” said Conrad.
Security screens popular
The most popular products were Trellidor Clear Guard security screens and Trellidor Louvre Shutters, both ideal for hospitality establishments as well as homes. They are attractive, lifestyle ranges that don’t look like security barriers but have the strength under attack for which Trellidor products are well known.

“We had a surprising number of enquiries about our Trellidor Poly Guard too. Initially, visitors were sceptical about this product in terms of security, but once we’d shown them the strengthening features that set them apart from competitor versions, they were very impressed. The price was also very attractive.”
As always, Trellidor Retractable Security gates and the Trellidor burglar proofing ranges were also popular as they provide an excellent level of security within the homeowners budgets.
