As part of this collaboration, Trellidor has sponsored a branded vehicle that will enable the Foundation to expand its football coaching clinics across rural KwaZulu-Natal, bringing structured sport, mentorship and life skills development to communities where such opportunities are often limited.

By offering an alternative to negative influences such as crime, drugs and alcohol, the programme plays a vital role in steering young people towards healthier life choices and brighter futures.

Siyabonga Nomvethe is widely regarded as one of South Africa’s most accomplished and respected footballers. With an illustrious career spanning local and international success, Nomvethe has become a household name, admired not only for his achievements on the pitch but for his humility and commitment to community upliftment.
Having grown up in rural KwaZulu-Natal, Nomvethe understands firsthand the challenges faced by young people in under-resourced communities. Limited access to facilities, mentorship and development pathways often restrict potential before it can be realised. Through the Siyabonga Nomvethe Foundation, he is actively working to change this reality by bringing opportunities directly to the communities that need them most.

2024–2025 contributions that extend reach and impact
As part of its ongoing support during the 2024–2025 period, Trellidor contributed to the hosting of football coaching clinics, the provision of sports equipment, and the donation of a branded vehicle. The vehicle was officially handed over in December 2025 in partnership with Mahindra Pietermaritzburg.
The vehicle plays a critical role in allowing for the safe transportation of coaches, equipment and support staff, significantly expanding the Foundation’s reach and operational capacity.
Creating tangible impact in rural communities
With improved mobility and logistical support, the Siyabonga Nomvethe Foundation is now better positioned to deliver high-quality coaching experiences to children across KwaZulu-Natal. The programme also works closely with schools and partners through the Department of Education, ensuring alignment with broader youth development and educational objectives.
